Helping vulnerable, low-income people find safety from extreme temperatures since 1983

EnergyCare services are more critical to the health and safety of our Saint Louis neighbors now more than ever.

Winter IS coming!

Although it’s hot now, EnergyCare will soon be switching gears to help people during the coming fall and winter cold.

At EnergyCare, we constantly strive to reach new heights with our mission of year-round energy related services for the most vulnerable Saint Louisans.

Michael Willis stood in a bedroom of the North City home he shares with his 84-year-old mother, basking in the cold air of a window air conditioner that was just installed by EnergyCare executive director, Tim O’Dea and Jonathan Steinke.

EnergyCare recently received generous support in memory of Father Donald Koch from his two sisters.

This year, EnergyCare has teamed up with St. Louis University College for Public Health and Social Justice for a yearlong project to examine ways EnergyCare services affect clients’ health.

Volunteers can help with weatherization of our client homes, preparation of Weatherization kits and direct mailer and lead Weatherization groups.

We install home weatherization materials, setup portable heaters and electric blankets, or simply give out standard blankets for immediate warmth. For the heat we install window air conditioners.
