We don’t do what we do for the accolades. However, it’s always nice when someone takes the time to let us know that our services are appreciated and make a difference.
“This afternoon we received a call from a woman in her 90s that lives at her home in the City. Her furnace is broken and she has no heat. She did not want to leave her home.
I called EnergyCare and left a message. Within an hour, Jana called me back, took down the information, and said that they will get this client a space heater today. I also referred the client for Case Management so she will be provided with additional services.
On this bitterly cold winter day (when I know they are swamped with calls), I really appreciated that EnergyCare made sure she got the space heater. Thank you, and we appreciate you!” ~Anneliese Stoever, Community Programs Manager, St. Louis Area Agency on Aging
