EnergyCare is now in a stronger financial position and is helping more and more vulnerable people in St. Louis thanks to supporters like you. As EnergyCare celebrates its 40th anniversary, we are poised to continue delivering on our vial mission. After eight years I will be retiring, and I am working with the board to find the next leader of EnergyCare.
It has been a pleasure and a challenge to move EnergyCare forward as the need in the community for EnergyCare continues to grow. As during St. Pat’s tenure, many people struggle to stay safe and cool in their own homes in the summer and warm in the winter. Building on the legacy of St. Pat and Dennis Kelley, EnergyCare continues to develop a continuum of services for low-income families that is tailored to their individual needs and circumstances.
EnergyCare’s services will continue to focus on ways to reduce housing costs by decreasing families’ energy burden and utility costs, while promoting energy efficiency. The staff and the board have been successful in finding new ways to deliver crucial services and creative approaches to the organization’s sustainability. I am confident that EnergyCare will serve vulnerable St. Louisans well into the future.
